Identity Behind the Mask

"Why do people wear a mask, is it the visual appeal or is it to disguise their true identity?"

This is my Final design for my foundation year which I have just completed in the Southern Regional College, Newry.The title of this project was "Identity behind the mask". I worked towards producing a costume for a masquerade ball. I have always been interested in Venetian masks; it also interests me how people come together at these gatherings and become whoever or whatever they wish through the costume they wear, by doing this they are creating a different identity.
